Doyle Langley

July 7, 1930 — June 21, 2023

Doyle Leon Langley of Mesquite, Texas passed away June 21, 2023, at the age of 92. He was known to family and friends as DL or Uncle D. He was born to Charlie Langley and Levie Elizabeth Langley in Caradan, Texas, where he survived the Dust Bowl as a child. Doyle married Ruby Louise Langley on June 24, 1950 in Dallas, Texas.

Doyle is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Levie Langley; wife, Ruby Louise Langley; brothers, Alton, Max, Lemuel and Cecil Langley; sister, Dorothy Langley; and son, Doyle Eugene Langley.

Doyle is survived by his son Larry Langley and wife Diona, son Steven Langley; 10 grandchildren, numerous great- grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Doyle joined the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War in 1952-1953. Following his service in the military, he began his career working as a stagehand for Bill Reed, Peter Wolf Concepts, Dallas Summer Musicals and the Dallas Opera.

He was a Cowboy at heart who loved riding and caring for horses. He was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
