Earl Wayne Carpenter, 82, of Garland, Texas, went to sleep awaiting the Kingdom of God on May 8, 2025, surrounded by the family he deeply cherished. Born on February 28, 1943, Wayne lived a life rooted in faith, service, and love.
Wayne proudly served his country as a Veteran of the United States Army, and went on to build a respected career as both an Electrician and a Corporate Trainer. Known for his integrity and strong work ethic, he was admired by colleagues and community members alike.
Above all, Wayne was a true servant of God. He was deeply involved in his church, where he joyfully served in many roles and was honored to be an Ordained Deacon. His life was a reflection of his faith-humble, compassionate, and steadfast.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Jane Carpenter of 57 years, his devoted daughter, Kylene Carpenter, and a legacy of grandchildren Collin Carpenter and Chase Cotton, great-grandchildren: Aleeah Cotton, Aliyssa Cotton, Connie Cotton, Skylar Cotton, and soon to be Kylie Cotton. He especially loved spending time in his garden and sharing laughter and stories with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Wayne's life will be held on Friday, May 30th at 10:00 AM at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to be made to Wayne's church or a charity close to your heart, in honor of his legacy of service and faith.
Earl Wayne Carpenter will be remembered as a man of great character, deep conviction, and endless love. He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of all who knew him.
