Eddie Johnson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eddie Lynn Johnson, who left us on June 23, 2024, at the age of 69. Eddie was born on October 2, 1954, and lived a life marked by dedication, love, and service.

Eddie was the second youngest of four siblings. The bond between them remained strong throughout his life.

On January 7, 1978, Eddie married the love of his life, Brenda. Together, they built a beautiful life and were blessed with three boys. Eddie was a devoted husband and a loving father, always putting his family first and teaching his sons the values of integrity, kindness, and perseverance.

Eddie proudly served his country as a corpsman in the Navy. His commitment to helping others was evident in his military service, join that with his big personality and when he started his career with Pepsi both friendships and work flourished.

Throughout his life, Eddie was known for his warm smile, his sense of humor, and his unwavering loyalty to family and friends. He enjoyed road trips, preferring the scenic route to see nature's beauty and small town sites. His greatest joy of all came from spending time with his family. His stories and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is a devout Christian and enjoyed singing and always talked about his journey and joy within his small group classes.

Eddie leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. He is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda; his sons, Chris, Joey, and Brian; his brothers, Mike and Chuck; his sister, Cie McKinney; as well as 10 grandkids and 8 great grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity.

A memorial service to celebrate Eddie's life will be held on Saturday at New Hope Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Park Christian Community Church

or Faith Presbyterian Hospice Care in Eddie's honor.

Eddie Lynn Johnson's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His spirit of compassion and courage will continue to inspire us all.

Rest in peace, Eddie. You will be forever missed and always remembered.
