February 8, 1950 — November 10, 2021

Edna Mae Cotton was born in Wichita Falls, TX on February 8, 1950 to William Lesley Todd and Lavera Louise (Berry)Todd. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Wichita Falls, TX before obtaining her cosmetology license and beginning her career as a Licensed Cosmetologist. On November 21, 1971 she married Ronald Joseph Cotton. Edna was a devoted mother to her children. She knew her way around the kitchen and enjoyed cooking, particularly fried chicken, fried fish and greens. Edna loved to dance and found her way to the dance floor anytime old-school classics were playing.  She had a BIG heart and loved people. She quickly lit up any room she entered with her laughter and contagious smile. She was a spiritual woman who knew and loved the Lord. She will be deeply missed by friends, family and all who knew her.

Edna is survived by her son, James Bernard Todd; her daughter, Rolanda Cotton Spell (Eric Spell); her grandchildren Martasia Cox, Mariah Cox, Maraiya Cox, Meairra Cox, and Jasmine Lawrence; brothers Rickey Todd and William Todd; sister Mary Nelson and a host of other nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents William and Lavera Todd, her husband, Ronald Cotton and her sister, Jimmie Berry.

A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 3 p.m. on November 20, 2021 at The Link Church on 8356 Sterling Street Irving, TX 75063. Pastor Lewis Hemphill will officiate.
