Ruth Everett

Today we celebrate and pay tribute to the life of Ellen Ruth Everett. Ruth was born on July 21, 1935 in Mineola, Texas. She went to be with Lord on the morning of May 4, 2026 in Forney, Texas with her beloved daughter, Cyndi, by her side. Ruth reunited with her husband of 68 years, Tommy Everett, as she entered through the pearly gates of Heaven. She was preceeded in death by Tommy on January 18th of 2024. Ruth leaves behind her only daughter Cyndi Johnson, married to Jeff Johnson; her oldest granddaughter Ashley Pruitt, married to Casey Pruitt; her youngest granddaughter Mackenzie Gorman, married to Cody Gorman. She was blessed with five great-grandchildren: Colton and Avery, son and daughter of Ashley and Casey; River, Bowman, and Maycie, daughters and son of Mackenzie and Cody. Ruth's family was larger than it appeared. She always considered the Johnson family an extension of her own. Ruth was a kind and giving woman, who welcomed all to her table.

Any visitors that were lucky enough to enter her home, left with full hearts and full stomachs. She had a particular love for roses, angels, and especially snowman. Every holiday was celebrated as if it were the last. Ruth's passion for music intertwined with her profound love of Jesus. Ruth devoted 42 years of her life working for Aetna Life and Casualty where she undoubtedly impacted numerous lives. Ruth was an outstanding mother, wife, granny, friend, and most of all - prayer warrior. We, as family, will continue her legacy with unapologetically sharing the love of Jesus Christ.
