Elvira Ventura

Elvira Ventura, age 78 of Dallas, TX passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

 Services to be held at New Hope Funeral Home and Memorial Garden, 500 Highway 80, Sunnyvale, TX 75182.

 Viewing and Rosary on April 15, 2026, 4 pm- 8 pm

 Burial April 16, 2026, 2 pm -3 pm. 

Elvira was born on February 18, 1948, in Dallas, TX to Ben and Elisa Ventura (Garza). She graduated from N.R. Crozier Technical High School in 1966.

 Elvira known to her loved ones as Vera greatly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers. She enjoyed family gatherings and watching Sunday Mass on TV. She took pleasure in doing word search puzzles and any chance she could eat menudo for breakfast at her favorite spot Don Jorges Cocina. 

Elvira is survived by her daughter Elisa Estrada and her son in law Gerardo, grandchildren Christopher Turner (Jessica), Michael Turner, Jorge Estrada (Elizabeth), Cecilia Estrada, Gema Estrada, Great Grandchildren Christopher Turner Jr, Adrian Turner, Izabella Turner, Morrison Martinez Jr, Benjamin Estrada siblings Daniel Ventura, Ramona Sotero, Jessie Carrasco (Edward), Margaret Fraga, Paul Ventura, Tomas Ventura (Darlene), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 She was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Elisa Ventura, siblings Manuel Ventura, Mary Helen Juarez, Lupe Escamilla. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Gerardo Estrada, Tomas Ventura, Christopher Turner, Adrian Turner, Christopher Turner Jr. and Michael Turner. 

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all those involved in her care during the months of her courageous battle.
