Eugenia Vernell "Nell" Woodall

September 20, 1927 — August 9, 2023

Eugenia Vernell Woodall was born in Caddo, Oklahoma on September 20, 1927 to Myrtie and Bertie Smithart. She passed away on August 9, 2023 in Gladewater, Texas.

 

She was a graduate of North Dallas High School. Through her life she held a variety of jobs, from the candy counter at Woolworth's to Texas Instruments. But her most important job was nurturing and caring for her family.

 

She was very active in her church, loved to travel, and could often be found "fingering merchandise" at Dillard's. Her greatest passion was entertaining her family and friends. Thanksgiving was her favorite day of the year!

Eugenia married Haral T. Woodall on June 27, 1947. They had two daughters, Carol Woodall and Cathy A. Hanks.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Haral T. Woodall; mother Myrtie Smithart; Father Bertie Smithart; sisters, Mary Ellen Denison and Francille Parker; Brother in law, Rudy Parker; brothers Billy and Charles Smithhart.

 

Her surviving family are daughters, Carol Woodall and Cathy Hanks; Son in Law, Lyle Hanks; Brother-in-Law, Bill Denison; Nieces, Debbie Bradford, Pam Parker and Robin Campbell; Nephews, Michael Parker and Jimmy Denison; As well as a host of loving relatives and friends.
