Evelyn Marie Denton

Evelyn Peacock (also known as Evelyn Larimore, Evelyn New and Evelyn Denton), 85, of Forney, TX, passed away with family by her side at the Presbyterian Hospital-Dallas on Friday, February 5^th, 2021.  She was born Wednesday, December 4^th, 1935 in Beecher City, IL to the late Joseph and Ethel Larimore. She was preceded in death by her Daughter, Bobbi Jo and Brother, Keith.

Evelyn had worked as a licensed realtor and General Manager for Dave Dodson Custom Homes prior to her retirement and met many dear friends along the way.  She loved to fish, golf and travel and visit friends & family in her spare time.  Evelyn was passionate about design & construction of new home builds and was an integral part in the rebuild of the Elks Lodge in Mesquite, TX, where she served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary for one term.  Evelyn showed enormous strength while surviving Cancer three times throughout her wonderful life.  The love that Evelyn showed to her friends and family was unmatched.  She had the ability to make everyone feel good about themselves and lift the spirits of those that were down.

She is survived by her husband, Homer Peacock, 2 siblings, Jo Ann and husband Bus and Vi and husband Bill as well as 2 daughters Brenda & Ann; 4 granddaughters Ashley, Jaqueline, Rachel & Kaci and 7 Great-Grandchildren Lexi, Maleah, Skylar, Zoë, Braydon, Ellie & Wyatt.

FAMILY VIEWING will be Friday, February 12th, 2021 (9AM-10AM) at the New Hope Funeral Home 500 E Hwy 80, Sunnyvale, TX 75182

PUBLIC VIEWING will be on Friday, February 12th, 2021 (10AM-5PM) at the New Hope Funeral Home 500 E Hwy 80, Sunnyvale, TX 75182

Masks are required to enter the funeral home per COVID-19 mandates.
