George Salazar

July 27, 1951 — April 9, 2021

George Puente Salazar was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 27th, 1951 to Guadalupe and Catalina Salazar.

George was a hard worker. He retired from the Army after 29 years of service as a Chief Warrant Officer 4. He had also begun a career with UPS, which he later celebrated another retirement with after 20 years. George had a passion for building and fixing things around the house, including remodeling projects at his wife, Sandys’ request. There was not a day that went by that he was not helping friends or family with a project despite the task.

After being the go-to handyman and finishing his “husbandly duties” he would sit and relax by watching his favorite car restoration shows.

On June 13th, 1981 George married the love of his life Sandy Kay Salazar. Together they had three daughters, Stephanie, Jessica, and Tiffany.

George leaves to cherish in his memory, wife of 39 years Sandy Salazar, Daughters: Stephanie, Jessica, and Tiffany, Son-in-Law: Jose, Four grandchildren: Alejandro, Dominic, Rogelio, and Gabriella, Step- Granddaughter: Ema, Four brothers: Lupe (Junior), Juan, Robert, and Raul, Close Friends: Cindy, Victor, Jordan, Drew, and Avery, along with other great friends and family.
