Georgianne H Bethel

Georgianne (Gay) Harte died May 13, 2023, a believing Christian and member of Town North Presbyterian Church (PCA). She was born on Jan. 17, 1933 in Cincinnati, OH to George Bernard and Helen Von Hoene Harte. She married Gene D. Bethel in 1955 in New Iberia, LA, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors are daughters Melinda Gay Berry of Mesquite, TX and Jennifer Eileen Bethel of Sherborn, MA and her husband Erik R. Sirri. Also, three grandsons, Richard L. and his wife Marie A. Berry, Stephen B. Berry, and Scott B. Sirri. Also, sisters Helen J. Renfroe and Marguerite L. Smith and her husband R. Q. Smith, all of New Iberia, LA, and brother George B. Harte, III and his wife Grail of Alexandria, VA. Also, a number of nephews and nieces and their children.

She spent her early years in Cincinnati, but her family moved to Louisiana in 1941, and she moved to Texas in 1953. The family will hold a private graveside service at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery and a celebration of life at Town North Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, May 23 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials, if desired, to Town North Presbyterian Church Deacon's Fund to aid those in need or to the charity of your choice.
