He was born of Francisco Teniente and Magdalena Cruz on June 22, 1957 in Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Gerardo is survived by his loving wife Maria L. Teniente of 35 years, and children Gerardo Teniente Jr. and Valerie Teniente; brothers Jose Angel and Francisco Teniente; sisters Aurelia Teniente, Maria de Jesus Teniente, Magdalena Teniente, Evangelina Teniente, Maria de la Luz Teniente, Maria Guadalupe Teniente and Maria Teniente; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Gerardo was preceded in death by his parents Francisco Teniente and Magdalena Cruz and daughter Natalie Teniente.
