Gwendolyn Sue Boles, of Forney, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at the age of 69, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 17,1956 in Dallas, Texas to Neal Parker and Geneva Rodawalt Parker.
Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Geneva Parker; brothers, Von Parker, Bruce Parker and Lyndon Parker; sisters, Patricia Duncan, Elaine McConnell and Linda Hutchins; father-in-law, Ed Boles; and sister-in-law, Rita Hendrickson.
Gwen grew up in Dallas, Texas where she met and married the love of her life, Timothy Boles. After dating for 2 years, Tim and Gwen got married on May 25,1974, almost 52 years ago. They moved to Forney, Texas shortly after they married where they raised their family. Gwen took pride in her home and was an excellent homemaker and cook. She always had her home perfectly decorated for every occasion. She had a lifelong passion for fashion, jewelry, crafting and playing games. She loved shopping whether it was in a store, at Canton Trade Days or while watching HSN, QVC or JewelryTV. Gwen loved everyone easily and openly she always made everyone feel welcomed. While she rarely raised her voice, she was wonderfully expressive. If she had an issue, you didn't need an explanation; one look from her said everything that needed to be said. Gwen worked a variety of jobs over her lifetime, the City of Forney, the Ceramic Shop, Perry's, Twice New, Mrs. Baird's and R&R Plumbing. She was most well known for her time at Caribbean Tan as the Spray Tan Lady. Gwen, called Nonna by her adoring grandchildren, loved nothing more than her family and she made that very clear in all she did throughout her life.
Gwen is survived by her devoted husband, Timothy Boles; their son, Tim Boles Jr. and daughter-in-law Sarah, their son Chase Boles and daughter-in-law Tish; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Aubree, Molly, Parker, Preston, Deacon and Dalton. She is also survived by her brother, Ralph Parker; mother-in-law, Thelma Boles; along with other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 2:00pm at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, TX. Her interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home.
