Harold Bernard Potter

Harold Potter, age 78, held hands with Jesus at 10:12 AM on March 18, 2022.

Harold was born in Chicopee, Massachusetts to Harold Potter Sr. and Evelyn Potter. Harold married the love of his life, Frannie, on December 24, 1982 in Eugene Oregon. Together, they raised the light of their life, their daughter, Jennifer Reade.

Harold's career involved owning AAA Towing Services, taking part owner with his dad in Potter Sports Cars, and ending his career managing the warehouse at M Jacobs Furniture.

Harold was a family man who enjoyed living on the coast. He truly loved the water, so much so, that he and Fran packed up all of their belongings and drove cross country in a yellow Penske truck to relocate to Galveston, Texas in 2004. Harold's grandkids, Amanda and Austin, would visit multiple times a year and would never want to leave. Harold always took them to the beach and Schlitterbahn waterpark park.

In 2011, Harold and Fran decided that Galveston was still too far away from their family. So, they packed up everything again and moved to Rowlett, Texas where they were now only 30 minutes away from family.

After that move, Harold's health started to slowly decline. Harold spent the last 10 years of his life suffering with COPD. He will be terribly missed but we are thankful that heaven gets sweeter every day.

Harold was preceded in death by Harold Potter Sr. (Father), Evelyn Potter (Mother), Jennifer Norsworthy (Daughter), Tony Norsworthy (Son-in-law), and Mason Reed Smith (Great Grandson).

He is survived by Frances Potter (Wife), Amanda Smith (Granddaughter), Justin Smith (Grandson in-law), Maddox Smith (Great Grandson), Meredith Smith (Great Granddaughter), and Austin Norsworthy (Grandson).
