TANZY, J. L., of Garland, born October 8, 1922, in Hunt Co., passed away May 18, 2008. Preceded in death by wife of 57 years, Ruby; parents, Sid & Rosa Tanzy; 2 brothers & 3 sisters, daughter, Phyllis Smith; granddaughter, Aquilla Jane Bernice Culpepper. Survived by sons, Marvin Tanzy and Jay Tanzy; daughters, Linda Sue Culpepper and Aquilla Attaway; brothers, Frank Tanzy and Sid Tanzy; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren. Service will be 11:00AM Wednesday May 21, 2008 at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
