Jack Edward Alsbrooks, born on August 31, 1947, passed away peacefully from natural causes on September 10, 2025. He is survived by his devoted wife, Glenda Alsbrooks, and their children: sons James Cottles and Clay Cottles, daughters Ramona Embury, Dejuana Mason, and Belinda Smith. He was a proud father-in-law to Christy Cottles, Jeff Embury, and Randy Mason. Jack is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and his brother, Johnny Alsbrooks. He was preceded in death by: father Grady Alsbrooks, mother Flora Alsbrooks, brother Billy Alsbrooks, brother Don Alsbrooks.

A distinguished veteran of the Army, Jack enlisted on June 12, 1967, and served honorably until his discharge on June 11, 1970, achieving the rank of Sergeant. His professional career spanned many years as a skilled HVAC technician with Sears Roebuck & Co, where he was known for his dedication and expertise.

Throughout his life, Jack was a passionate supporter of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, attending numerous sporting events and family gatherings. Known affectionately as "Papaw," he cherished walking all three daughters down the aisle and every milestone and moment shared with his close-knit family. A talented drummer, Jack had an unyielding passion for music that spanned a wide variety of genres. Jack also had a deep interest in history, particularly war history, spending many hours studying the past.

Jack's greatest achievement was willingly taking on an instant family, strengthening a loving environment for his wife and her five young children, and fostering a sense of unity that still persists today. He will be lovingly remembered for his kind heart, commitment to family, and unwavering support.

Visitation will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel on September 24, 2025, at 10:00 am, followed by a service at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:00 pm on the same day. Jack Edward Alsbrooks leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
