James Edward Holy, affectionately known as the "Bronco King," passed away on January 12, 2026, in Texas. Born on November 5, 1952, in Dallas, TX, he lived a life filled with passion and dedication, particularly in his profession and hobbies. James earned his high school diploma and went on to work in pier hole drilling with Holy Bros. Drilling, where he was known for his strong work ethic and close relationships with his colleagues.
A devoted family man, James is survived by his loving wife, Judith (Judy) Holy, and their three daughters, Cindy Holy, Casey Holy-Belcher, and Christy Holy; his grandchildren, Cutter,Caden and Cash. He is also survived by his brothers, Brian Holy, Joey Holy, and Donnie Roberts, and a stepmother, Margie Holy. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
James had a profound love for early Ford Broncos, which he humorously referred to as a "hobby that got out of hand." His extensive knowledge of these classic trucks and his passion for them solidified his title as the "Bronco King." Alongside his automotive pursuits, he enjoyed racing in Monster Jam events and embraced the thrill of rock crawling and all things four-wheeling.
A memorial service will be held on January 31, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation starting at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate his life and the impact he had on those around him. James will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, devotion to his family, and his unparalleled enthusiasm for his favorite trucks.
