Janis Diane Mattingly Keel

Janis Diane Mattingly Keel, 74, of Crandall, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on September 22, 2025. Born on January 22, 1951, in Denison, Texas, Janis lived a life defined by love for her family and friends, a strong work ethic, and her passion for laughter and Jesus.
Janis dedicated over 30 years of service to Garrett Electronics in Garland, where she worked diligently as a Payroll and Accounts Payable Clerk. She was respected by colleagues for her integrity, reliability, and quiet strength.
She was a longtime and faithful member of Orchard Hills Baptist Church in Garland and Central Baptist Church in Crandall, where she formed lasting friendships and nurtured her deep love for the Lord. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she shared it openly through her kindness, humility, and unwavering belief in God's promises.
She is survived by her beloved sons, Chad, his wife Nikki, grandson Cameron, son Brad, his wife Tabitha Jill, and grandsons Peyton, Holden, and Gracen. Janis loved being a Nana, and each grandson brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her loving sisters Linda Standifer and Vicki Miller, husband Jay, nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.
Janis is preceded in death by her sister Kathy Cookson, her father Lloyd Mattingly, and her mother Halgene Sharp Mattingly.
Janis had a deep love for football, especially her Oklahoma Sooners, Dallas Cowboys, and Crandall Pirates. She rarely missed a chance to cheer on her teams with her family and friends.
Janis will be remembered for her faith-filled heart, gentle strength, devotion to her family, and Savior. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel on September 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m. Janis leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her
