Jerrie Ellen Dickerson

Funeral services for Jerrie Dickerson age 78 of Mesquite are scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at the New Hope Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Bryan Easley officiating. Interment will follow at the College Mound Cemetery in Kaufman County. Jerrie was born July 24, 1942 in Terrell, the daughter of the late Robert Franklin Dickerson Sr. and Emily Ayres Dickerson. She passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021 in a Dallas hospital. Jerrie lived most of her life in Mesquite and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mesquite. She was employed as a deputy clerk for the City of Mesquite retiring in 2007. Jerrie was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, Patricia and her husband, Bill Dixon. Jerrie is survived by her daughters, Dianne Davis and husband Lee of Mesquite, Darlene Peacock and husband Steve of Point, Denise Yeakley and husband Joe of Lindale, Sanda Snygg of Dallas; brother Robert Dickerson and wife Carol of Plano; granddaughters, Jeri Griser of Fate, Brooke Ryan of Mesquite, Vikki Davis of Athens, Nicole Cornish of Athens, Mindi Davis of Mesquite, Amanda Melvin of Emory, Steven Peacock of Cumby; great grandchildren, Mariah Gottardi, Kayla Murphy, Amaris Knight, Brantley Melvin, Jole Jones, Easton Peacock, Avery Melvin, Grace Cornish, Edson Tovar; nephew, Trey Dickerson; niece, Jana Allen; great nephew Eric Dickerson; great niece Aine Allen. Pallbearers will be Trey Dickerson, Josh Griser, Andrew Cornish, Aaron Tovar, Mack Ayres and Charles Ayres Family will receive friends from 9:00 am till service time.
