Jerry Boyd Crowley

Jerry Boyd Crowley went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 7, 2026 at the age of 85. He was reunited with his high school sweetheart and wife of 66 years, after her passing on June 18, 2026, just 50 days earlier. He was born on March 23, 1941, to his parents, Cliff & Ossie Crowley, in Houston, Texas.

Jerry grew up in Hamlin, TX and found the love of his life, Cherry Pritchard, during high school from the neighboring town of Stamford, TX. He went to further his education at Texas A&M but couldn't bear to be away from his sweetheart for that many years. So they married in 1960 and moved to College Station where Jerry was able to finish his degree in 1963.

Jerry began his professional career working for Boeing on the NASA Saturn V space rocket program in Huntsville, Alabama. After 18 months he transferred to White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico to help with testing of the Saturn Rockets. He and Cherry couldn't shake their love of Texas and moved to Dallas in 1965. They bought a house in Mesquite, TX. in 1966 and never moved again. Jerry was a man who loved his Lord and Savior, his family, as well as his church family.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Cherry Crowley; his parents; his brother; and one grandchild. He is survived by his 4 children, Kyle, Stephen, Susan, and Randall; 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Services to celebrate the life of Jerry Crowley will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Sunnyvale First Baptist Church with a visitation at 1:00 p.m. and service at 2:00 p.m.. He will be laid to rest alongside his wife at Fairview Cemetery in Tuxedo, TX on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in a private family committal service..
