Mr. Jobie Clarence Gambles Jr. was born on September 1, 1960, in Abilene, Texas, to Jobie Clarence Gambles Sr. and Margaret Ann Armstrong. Raised by Margaret and Abraham Mundine, he was a joyful and energetic child. He was his mother’s second son and his father’s first son, and he was affectionately known to his family as Jr.

Because he traveled throughout his life with his parents, he completed his final years of schooling through Dallas ISD. He was loved by many and remained a fighter until the very end. He faced life’s battles with strength and was skilled with his hands in many ways.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jobie Clarence Gambles Sr. and Margaret Mundine; his stepfather, Abraham Mundine; his brother, Joe Dell Armstrong; his sister, Wanda Jean Gambles; and his grandparents, Bennie and Lucille Armstrong, Jobie C. Gambles, and Lovonia Brackeen.

He is survived by a host of family, friends, and extended loved ones.

Jr.’s service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at New Hope Funeral Home. Burial will follow at New Hope Memorial Gardens.
