John Wade Gordon, age 83, passed away on November 7, 2025 at his home in Royse City. He was born on December 7, 1941 in Rains County to parents Homer and Vertis Meek Gordon.

John was married to his loving wife, Mary Nalls Gordon, for 62 years. Together, they had a son, Dean Gordon.

John worked as a machinist for over 30 years for various companies. After that, he worked for the First Baptist Church in Rockwall where he and his family were members for 50 years. He then worked for a few years in the Royse City School District.

John is survived by his wife, Mary Gordon; son, Dean Gordon; brother, Stanley Gordon and wife Pat; sisters, Sandra Cowan and husband Don, and Meribeth Reed and husband Mike; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.
