Johnnie C. Taylor Fletcher 9/2/1939 to 4/4/2003 On Friday, April 04, 2003, Johnnie Taylor Fletcher passed away in her residence.Memorial services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas on Tuesday, April 8th at 1:00 PM.Interment followed at Creagleville Cemetery in Grand Saline, Texas.Ms. Fletcher was born September 2, 1939 in Grand Saline.She is preceded in death by her parents, John Gabrial Taylor and Pearl Minnie Taylor, her brothers, Walter Elster Taylor, Milton Elijah Taylor, Homer C. Taylor, Leon Marie Taylor, and Doyal Louis Green and, grandson Kory Taylor Fletcher.She graduated from Grand Saline High School in 1957 with Honors. She married Elbert Lafayette Fletcher on November 22, 1958 and they had three children.She then moved to Whitney, Texas in 2001.She is survived by her sisters Peggy Jean and husband Sonny Clinkscale of Texarkana and Marguerite Barker of Asheville, North Carolina.She is also survived by her three children Lisa Ann and husband William Vess, and granddaughter Sybil Christene of Dallas, Texas, a son Kenneth and wife Michelle Fletcher and grandchildren Kolten Hunter and Kendle Michelle of Whitney, Texas, a son John Paul and Lorayne E. Fletcher and grandchildren Johnathan Blake, Matilyn Victoria, and Hayley Elizabeth, all of Kingsville, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.She will be missed by her best friends Jerry Ann and Ray Kirkpatrick.Johnnie enjoyed many hobbies, including her art work, geneology, collecting unique items, and she loved sewing for her grandchildren.Johnnie enjoyed her accounting work with the Census Bureau and other organizations for many years. She will be missed by all!
