Eddie McReynolds was born November 5, 1954, and passed away July 3, 2025. He was born in Amarillo, Texas, to Joe Dickey McReynolds and Velma Jean Walthall. He grew up in Odessa, Texas, and graduated from Permian High School, class of 1974. He met his future wife, Treva Stennett, while working at Gibson's. They were married on June 21, 1974. In 1977, they moved to Sonora, Texas. He was a natural gas compressor mechanic for 47 years. Eddie was a Master Mason and past Worshipful Master of Dee Ora Lodge #715. He was a Shriner and a member of the Suez Temple. He was also a 32-degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. Eddie was a charter member of Sutton County EMS. He volunteered with the service for 13 years. He was a huge Sonora Bronco fan. For many years, he was known as the "Candy Man". He gave out candy at all the football games. Eddie was always ready and willing to help anyone. He gave unselfishly of himself.

When he became a Grandad, his girls became the center of his world. Taking them on trips, antiquing, and pretty much anything they wanted to do, he was ready. He loved going to their volleyball games, plays, and choir concerts. Eddie was always there for them.

He is survived by his wife, Treva McReynolds; son, Mike McReynoldsdaughter-in-law, Kim McReynolds; granddaughters, Kaylee and Maddi McReynolds; sister, Debbie McReynolds, brother Donnie McReynolds; sister-in-law, Vicki McReynolds, sister, Kathy Craighead; brother-in-law, Wayne Craighead; brother-in-law, Terry Stennett; sister-in-law, Irene Stennett; brother-in-law, Dale Stennett; sister-in-law, Lori Stennett; sister-in-law, Beverly Evans; brother-in-law, Kelly Evans. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held July 26, in Sonora. It will be held in the pavilion at the Sutton County Cemetery at 10:00. Come visit and tell a Eddie story, because we all know there are some! Reception to follow at Ben and Lenora Pool home.
