Josiah Adriel Andrade

Josiah Adriel Andrade, beloved son, nephew, grandson, and great-grandson was born on April 17, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. He passed away on July 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Though his time with us was brief, Josiah's spirit touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Josiah triumphed over numerous challenges from the very beginning. Born preterm at 33 weeks, he demonstrated incredible strength as he grew and thrived. He celebrated significant milestones, including being strong enough to leave his incubator, having his NG tube removed, and passing his car seat test. His graduation from the NICU was not just a moment of relief for his family but a testament to his resilience.

Those who had the privilege of caring for Josiah remember his unique habits and joyful spirit. He found comfort in sucking on his pacifier and sleeping with his hands covering his face. He found peace snuggled against his mother's chest at night, often smiling in his sleep. Josiah enjoyed watching soccer with his father, creating cherished memories that their family will hold dear.

Josiah is survived by his father, Joe Michael Andrade Jr. ; his mother, Samantha Lynnette Gonzalez; his grandparents, Joe Andrade, Gaisy Andrade, Julio Gonzalez, and Lucy Gonzalez ; as well as his uncles, Jacob Andrade, Julian Andrade, Alan Gonzalez; aunts, Julianna Gonzalez and Crystal Segovia Gonzalez; and cousins, Elias Gonzalez and Ehlani Gonzalez.

Funeral services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel on July 10, 2026, beginning with visitation at 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Josiah will be laid to rest at New Hope Memorial Gardens at 3:00 PM. The family invites all who knew and loved Josiah to join them in celebrating his brief but impactful life.
