Her last child, Cynthia Kay Clounch was born on November 20, 1959. After raising her two
surviving children, Ms. Clounch became a young widow, when Lindy became ill and passed of
lung cancer on June 27, 1980. She worked for many years thereafter as a telephone operator
for Montgomery Ward. She also spent time helping raise her grandchildren, Craig and Lorinda
Boyd. She later moved in with her father and cared for him for the last several years of his life.
Ms. Clounch opened her heart and home to many people throughout the years. She was a kind
loving gentle soul. She loved with passion and consistently gave of her heart, time and money
to help those in need. She always had spare change in her console or coin purse, for candy or
a drink for the children in her care. Her laugh was constant and contagious. She always put a
positive spin on things and tried to help one see the bright side of life and positive traits of other
people. She enjoyed happy songs and two-stepping in the living room. She was a simple
woman, who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. The most important things in her life were
family and love. Her sweet gentle presence will be missed by all who knew her.
