Judy Diann Creech, 72, was born on December 15, 1947, and was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 3, 2020. Judy is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Charles Creech; her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl & Sam Mason; her sister, Vicki Bunch; grandchildren: CJ Mason and his fiancé, Brianna Marsh; Aleah Creech; Ambar Easley; and Taylor Creech; one great-grandchild: Darrin Lee Mason; cousins Sandy Holleman and Barbara Tribble; and a host of brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Laverne Bunch; her brother, Mike Bunch; and her son, Darrin Creech. Judy grew up in Mesquite, Texas and married her soulmate, Charles Creech on August 6, 1966. She was a devoted wife to Charlie and treated him like a King – dinner on the table every night at 5:00 p.m. He affectionately referred to her as “The Doom” and she was attentive to his every need. They were the perfect couple. Their love story is one for the books – a perfect example of unconditional love. In the early years, Judy was a stay-at-home Mom. Not only was she Mom to Cheryl & Darrin, but she was also Mom to all of the kiddos in the neighborhood. She was the “fun” Mom and all of the kids flocked to her house. She had bottomless pitchers of Kool-Aid and snacks for all! When her kids started school, she became soccer coach, Room Mom at the school and even PTA President. As her kids grew older, she decided it was time to go back to work. She took a part time job at Dillard’s Department Store and worked there for a number of years before taking a job with the City of Mesquite in the Engineering Department. She was hired on as a secretary, but those who worked with her will tell you that her most important job there was “party planner”. She organized every Thanksgiving and Christmas luncheon, birthday celebration or potluck lunch and she did it love in her heart. She continued working for the City until she retired in 2009. Over time, Judy had more than her fair share of debilitating health conditions. As her health declined, you would never know it by her attitude. She never complained or asked “why me?” She handled every situation that was thrown at her with dignity and grace. As time went on, Charles and Judy’s roles reversed. He became the caretake/caregiver and he handled it with just as much grace as she did early on in their marriage. In 2012, she was the recipient of a donor kidney – this gift by an anonymous donor, gave her 8 additional years with her loving family. A graveside memorial service, to honor and celebrate Judy Creech’s life, will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mesquite Cemetery @ City Lake Park (400 Holly Park Drive, Mesquite, TX 75149). The family kindly asks that anyone planning to attend, to please wear a mask and socially distance as much as possible. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your choice of Donate Life Texas (www.donatelifetexas.org) or to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org).
