Karen Lea Hawthorne

Karen Lea Hawthorne, nee Jackson, was born November 18,1951 and passed on October 28, 2026 in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over fifty years, Bobby D. Hawthorne, her sister, Gina Starr, and her parents, Doris and Earl Jackson. She is survived by her sister-in -law and friend, Susie Hawthorne Sweeney. Karen loved to share stories about her family, as the devastation of losing her parents and sister over twenty-five years ago and her husband five years ago never eased for her. Karen loved antiques, especially Victorian, and she and her husband Bobby spent many years searching for, buying and selling them. She also had a passion for perfume bottle collecting and was a member of the Dallas Chapter of perfume bottle collectors and traveled to national conventions whenever possible. She also adored her Sheltie dog, Jackson, who was great company for her in her final years. Karen will be buried in the Dallas-Fort Worveteranional Cemetery in Dallas, Texas where her husband, Bobby, a military veteran, is interred. There will be no formal ceremony.
