Kathleen Fay Brantley

Kathleen Fay "Ms.Kathy" Brantley, of Garland, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on August 12, 2026.

Kathy lived a life defined by quiet strength, unwavering faith, and a deep love for her family. She faced every season-both joyful and difficult-with grace, service, and a smile that lifted those around her.

Kathy spent many years working in child care, caring for other people's children as if they were her own. She loved each child deeply, and her compassion touched countless families. After retiring from her long career in child care, she enjoyed the simple comforts that made her happiest. She loved watching her favorite shows, especially Little House on the Prairie, and she never passed up a chance to eat at The Beef House, one of her favorite places. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, who brought her so much joy and filled her days with love.

Kathy is reunited in Heaven with her parents, Ralph and Leoma Murray; her husband, Ronald Brantley; her daughter and son‑in‑law, Ruby and Don Bowling; and her sons, Preston and Richard Brantley.

She is survived by her brother, Delbert Murray, and his wife; her daughter and son‑in‑law, Jennifer and Eric Thompson; her daughter, Jessica Land; her son and daughter‑in‑law, Ron and Kayla Brantley; and a large, loving family of grandchildren, great‑grandchildren, and great‑great‑grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

Throughout her life, Kathy served others with a generous heart. Even in difficult times, she found a way to keep going, to smile, and to encourage her family and friends to do the same. Her strength came from her faith in Jesus Christ. Because of that faith, knowing that Jesus died for her sins and accepting Him into her life, she won. Those who share that same faith know that this separation is only temporary; we will see her again, along with all who have gone before her, washed in the blood of the Lamb.

We do not mourn as those without hope. Instead, we rejoice that Kathy is no longer in pain and is walking in Heaven, whole and restored.

John 11:25-26

"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die."

A celebration of Kathy's life will be held at a future date, as we gather to honor her memory and the impact she had on all who knew her. Family and friends will unite in love and remembrance, sharing stories filled with laughter and reflection. Details regarding the service will be provided soon
