Kenneth O'Brien, a beloved father, grandfather, and dedicated veteran, passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 74. He was born on May 13, 1952, in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, and later became a cherished member of the Forney, Texas community.
Kenneth served honorably in the United States Air Force from November 15, 1971, until his discharge on August 29, 1975, achieving the rank of Sergeant (E4). His commitment to service extended beyond his military career as he embraced the role of a devoted family man, raising his children with love and dedication. He is survived by his daughters, Sara O'Brien and Ashley Welch, his son, Evan-Patrick O'Brien, as well as his son-in-law, Adam Nagle, and daughter-in-law, Miriam O'Brien. Kenneth's legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Savannah Welch, Tayler Fite, Joseph Fite, Liam O'Brien, Jacob Nagle, Mateo O'Brien, Nico O'Brien, and Luca O'Brien.
A memorial service honoring Kenneth's life will be held at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel on June 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of this remarkable man who touched the lives of many with his kindness and sincerity. Following the service, Kenneth will be laid to rest in a manner befitting his wishes through cremation. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
