Khamphanh Ben Phounsavath

July 8, 1962 — April 17, 2021

Ben was born in Vientiane, Laos on July 8, 1962 to the late Khanchan Phounsavath and Soy Phounsavath. He passed away on April 17, 2021. Ben came to America to start a new life in 1983 and settled in Terrell, TX. He worked as a welder for over 15 years. It was the perfect trade for him. Ben was very creative, talented and smart. He knew how to fix anything that was broken and he was able to bring life to many of his ideas. One of Ben’s biggest accomplishments was designing and building a beautiful house for his family. When he wasn’t building, he enjoyed spending time tending to his dogs and farm animals. As a result of his humility and genuineness, he was easily loved by many and made great friends wherever he went. Ben clearly understood the importance of family. He was always there for his family with care and love. Ben Phounsavath married Lasoy Sisomseune in May of 2002. To this union, Ben became a father of two girls, Iris Pham and Ilene Khamvongsa. In November of 2004, Ben and Lasoy Phounsavath had a daughter, Jasmine Angelina Phounsavath. He is preceded in death by his sister Thongsavanh “Annie” Phasirath, and his father Khanchan Phounsavath. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 19 years, Lasoy Sisomseune Phounsavath; his three daughters, Iris Pham, Ilene Khamvongsa, Jasmine Phounsavath; his 9 siblings, Chansamone Phounsavath, Joey Phounsavath, Tom Phounsavath, Nick Phounsavath, Mike Phounsavath, Jim Phounsavath, Chanpheng Deuanxayasane, Nancy Myers, Sue Phounsavath and Dee Muniz, his granddaughter, Elena Jade Huezo; along with his many of nephews and nieces; and a host of loving relative friends and coworkers.
