Kimberly Smith

Kimberly Lyn was born on July 14, 1960 and passed away on January 30, 2004. Kim was 43 years old and for the last 15 years she has battled Muscular Dystrophy. She was a courageous person who will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.Kim learned all she could about her disease and her attitude was wonderful. Her humor in regard to all the things she had to overcome was amazing.Everyone who came in contact with her from doctors, nurses, family and friends could not believe her great capacity for life and humor. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Lyn, her father, Richard Lowell Keathley, Sr., her brother, Richard Lowell Keathley, Jr., and her sister, Yvonne Donihoo.They are forever in each others arms in heaven. Kim is survived by her son, Glenn "Chip" Edward Smith, her mother, Mary Ruff, her sister, Jane Guinn, her granddaughter, Glynna Michelle, her grandson, Shane Edward and wonderful nieces and nephews. Services will be 11:00AM Tuesday, February 3, 2004, at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
