Larry Bazil Couch, born on January 23, 1940, in Tyler, Texas, passed away on October 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and hard work. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Jean Couch, and a proud father to his daughters, Jennifer Hill and Melissa Youngblood. Larry's family also includes his son-in-law, Ron Hill; sister, Gayle Craig; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who adored him.
Larry was not just a family man, he also had a passion for his work. In 1986, he and Jean started their own business, Texas Southwest Machinery, Inc., where he sold metal fabricating machines. His entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by his love for the outdoors where he enjoyed countless days hunting and fishing whenever he could escape to nature. He cherished his time at church fellowship, where he build strong connections in the community.
His family will always fondly remember the moments they shared with him, from family camping trip to holiday gathering full of stories and laughter. Larry's warmth and humor made every occasion special, and his love for his family was evident in everything he did.
Larry was preceded in death by: parents Nell and Bazil couch, John Cure, Inez Cure, Meredith Cure.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel. Larry will be laid to rest at Grice Cemetery in Gilmer, Texas, at 5:00 PM the same day. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and love him.
