Larry William Dickson

July 21, 1944 — May 24, 2022

Larry William Dickson was born on July 21, 1944 in Portland, IN to parents Clyde Charles Dickson and Mildred Bowman Dickson. He passed into eternal rest on May 24, 2022 in Mesquite, TX  with his family by his side.

Mr. Dickson was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Mildred Dickson.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sandra Kay Smith Dickson, sons Rodney Moriarity Sr and wife Kimberlyn and Troy Moriarity and wife Gena.  Also, grandchildren Nicholas Morgan and wife Samantha, Aaron Moriarity and wife Kristen and Rodney Moriarity Jr, Rivers Moriarity, Emillee Floyd and husband Evan and Allisen Lau.   He also leaves behind precious great grandchildren, Jaxson, Karsyn and Colson.  Other family members who will miss him are his sister Kay Dickson Rinard and husband Gerald Rinard as well as niece Shawn Rinard and great niece Avrey Jandrew.  Also, nephew, Phil Rinard and wife Peggy.  He will be remembered by nephew Chris Smith and wife Pamela, great niece Taylor Smith Ebarb, husband Dakota and their daughter, Elliett Jade.

Larry served admirably in U.S. Navy and worked for Mesquite ISD in the Energy Management Department for over 30 years. Larry was an avid boater and fisherman and was very good with his hands.  He could fix anything! He was a great friend to many. He played guitar,  loved old country music and was an avid baseball and basketball player in his youth.

Larry will forever live in our hearts.  He is irreplaceable.  We miss you already Papaw!

Funeral and cremation arrangements are being handled by New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale.

Final resting place will be Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
