Laura Marie Thiel

Laura Thiel born in Lansing Michigan, May 11, 1952, passed away November 25, 2021. She was married to the late Stephen Michael Sparks for 10 years before divorcing and leaves behind her only child Michael Bryan Sparks.

She went to Eastern High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1970. She was involved in her church, First Methodist Humble where she lead and participated in many outreach programs such as HAAM and Family Promise.

Laura is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Ives, father Richard Ives, sisters, Barbara Perez and Mary Driver, and brother, Brian Ives.

She will be missed by her son Michael and his wife Pamela Sparks, grandson Michael Britton Sparks, brothers Terrance, Scott, and Kevin Ives; sisters, Sandra Bierer and Lisa Mullins, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
