PRICE, Leon of Mesquite born November 7, 1930, passed away October 31, 2002. Mr. Price was a graduate of Hutchinson High School in 1948. Was employed by American Optical Company from 1949 to 1956. From 1956 to 1964 he worked at the Rocky Mountain Optical Company, where in 1964 he opened and managed the branch in Farmington, New Mexico. He then moved to Tucson, Arizona to open a branch for Bausch & Lomb where he stayed until 1974. Promoted to Regional Branch Operations Manager in Denver in 1974 and later had the Dallas Regions until 1977. He owned and operated Price Optical in Wichita, Kansas for 19 years and later was employed by Wal-Mart Vision Center of Mesquite. Survived by wife, Delores "Dee" Price of Mesquite; son, Skye A. Price of Belle Plaine, KS., daughter, Kaye A. Griffin of Mesquite; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; 1 sister, 5 brothers; many nieces and nephews.Services will be 11:00AM Tuesday November 5, 2002 at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Clifford Price officiating.Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Rockwall. Family will receive friends at the funeral home 6:00PM - 8:00PM Monday evening. Family requests that memorials may be made to the Stevens-Johnson Syndrome Foundation, P. O. Box 350333,Westminster, Colorado 80035-0333.
