Linda Kay Frier, born on October 11, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, in Mesquite, Texas, at the age of 78.
Linda was the beloved wife of Emmett Frier, a bond that flourished for 59 beautiful years. She was the cherished mother of Rhonda Kay Burks, whose life was enriched by her mother's unwavering love and support. Linda found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Amanda Amado and a great-grandmother to Gabriel and Angel Rincon. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she dedicated herself to creating lasting memories with them.
A woman of creativity and passion, Linda had a deep love for ceramics, pouring her heart into each piece she crafted. Shopping brought her joy, a delightful adventure she relished with family and friends when she was able.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Emmett; her daughter, Rhonda; granddaughter, Amanda; son-in-law, Jaime Rincon; great-grandsons, Gabriel and Angel Rincon; her sister, Barbara Withers; and sister-in-law, Linda Joyce Smith. In addition to her family, Linda leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and artistry. Her warmth will remain etched in the hearts of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by Lon Smith, Dorothy Smith, and Bill Burks.
A public visitation will be held at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, TX on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 PM.
