Lois Hamby

Lois Hamby, age 81, passed away on July 12, 2024.

Lois was born in Dallas, TX on May 24, 1943 to Luther Eugene Pemberton and Katie Parker-Salyards.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Kennedy Murphy. She is survived by her granddaughter, Carson Katelyn Murphy. As well as a host of family and friends.

Lois owned and opened a store called The Diaper Pail where her logo was "we cover the bottoms of East, Texas". She worked for many years in the oil & gas industry. She was a very dedicated worker and made many friends in the industry that she continued to keep up with even after her retirement.

She was an avid traveler. Anytime anyone said "go" she said where and when, also known to her travel friends as the travel agent-booking all the trips. The Dallas Cowboy's was her favorite sports team. She mostly enjoyed keeping up with Donald Trump and planting flowers.

Lois was a kind hearted and generous person. She was fiercely independent and as stubborn as a mule.

She has now gained her heavenly wings, and has traveled the last mile.

Public Viewing will be held Saturday, 20th of July 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel.

Services for Lois Hamby will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.
