On Friday, May 21, 2021, Lourdes Bobadilla, loving mother of three and Yaya to seven, passed away at the tender age of 66.
Lourdes was born on August 8, 1954 in Texcoco, Mexico. After graduating from el Instituto Hidalgo in Mexico, she moved to Seattle speaking no English. She always spoke fondly of her memories of Seattle and her wish to return someday. Lourdes spent a few years there and moved to Dallas where she remained. She never met a stranger and would do everything in her power to help a friend in need. Lou loved to dance and tried her best to sing, much to the dismay of her children and grandchildren. She collected angels and crosses as a symbol of her love for Jesus. She spent most of her free time volunteering at her church. Lourdes was an avid rock collector and animal lover, sometimes bringing home dogs, cats, ducks, or birds. The world is a much sadder place without her in it.
Lourdes is preceded in death by her father, Cesar, and her brothers, Cesar and Francisco. She is survived by her mother, Luz; her siblings, Cristina and Roberto; her children, Lori, Andrea, and Andres; her grandchildren, Erick, Aiden, Lillian, Rhys, Analuz, Amaya, and August; as well as several nieces and nephews.
