It is with heartbreaking sadness that I send the announcement of the passing of my beloved Momma Lynda Ruth Puckett. Lynda was born in Kerens, Texas on November 16th 1948 to Ellis Ellon Dickson and Mary Fannie Lassiter Dickson.

She passed on February 4th 2022 with her daughter by her side. She left behind a daughter, Stacy Michelle Odell, and son Michael Swindle,. Lynda was a devoted & loving mother and it showed! We had a great family and did lots of things together. Mostly on weekends. Our family would go to the lake to go boating and swimming, go for a drive of sightseeing, family vacations every summer.

Lynda Ruth Puckett was retired from banking after 40 years of great care and attention to her customers. Everyone knew her and she was liked. She was a wonderful friend and family and friends. Lynda knew no strangers. She was generous in giving and helpful regardless of a person's wealth or status.

Lynda enjoyed her garden each spring she would plant flowers and kept her yard beautiful.

She was a marvelous cook and love to cook for anyone that was hungry. My mom was always the one designated for Christmas cooking and everybody always look forward to dinnertime. She collected recipes and was a gifted chef.

Lynda Ruth Puckett has a legacy of kindness and love. Compassion for those less fortunate & a heart that understood & showed kindness and did what she could for anyone God put in her path. Lynda will be missed so much by all who knew her as exceptional people are. She can never be forgotten and Will be Loved forever!!! Rest in peace beloved mother, wife, sister, Aunt, granny and friend.

Lynda was happily married to Hilton Michael Puckett for 30 happy years before he predeceased her on June 1, 2011.

Lynda Ruth Puckett is survived by her sister, Hattie Faye Thrasher, daughter Stacy Michelle Odell, son Michael Lyn Swindle, grandchildren and grandchildren Ashley Elizabeth Odell & Garrett Edwin Odell, and Alexandria Swindle and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on April 9, 2022 at 10 am at New Hope funeral home located at 500 US highway 80 in Sunnyvale Texas 75182. Immediately after we pray that you will help us honor my mom and we would be honored to have you participate in taking my Mom to the Malakoff City Cemetery located at CO RD 1900, Malakoff, Texas so that she can be laid to rest next to her husband, Hilton Michael Puckett where she will rest not only in God's arms but in the arms of her loving husband for eternity
