Margarita Elena Barcia Guzman, passed away on November 28, 2025. She was the second child of Margarita Barcia and Adan Guzman, and was born on April 30, 1946, in Nicaragua. She lived with her parents and came with her mother to the United States in 1994 to live with her older sister, Ernestina Chavarria.
Margarita loved to take care of the younger children and was helpful in watching the children of her nieces and nephews when they were younger. Anyone that knew of her knows that she loved coffee, sprite, and dessert. She was always helpful and loved her Catholic faith . She loved the traditions of religious holidays, especially Easter and Christmas. But most of all, she enjoyed being around family who loved her and took care of her. Although she was heartbroken when her older sister passed away earlier this year, her nieces, nephews, sister, and brother-in-law, took care of her afterward and made sure that she got the best care. She went to family outings and was delighted to see the Christmas tree decorated with special ornaments and bows. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her and cared for her.
Margarita was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Ernestina and Pedro Chavarria. She is survived by three siblings, Adan Barcia Guzman, Ana Maria Franco, and Vilma Barcia Guzman; as well as nieces, nephews, great nephew and great niece.
