Margie Nell Williams Prosser, born August 15, 1934, in Wills Point, Texas, passed away surrounded by the love of her family, at the age of 91. She was the beloved daughter of Varner Preston Williams and Lorene Little, and the younger sister of Billy P. Williams.
Margie made her home in Mesquite, Texas, where she lived with her devoted daughter, Stacye Higdon. Margie was a woman of many passions in which she enjoyed hunting, writing poetry, and crocheting. Margie also had a deep love for music and dance, especially swing dancing and classic country tunes that always brought a sparkle to her eyes.
Known as the matriarch of her family, Margie carried a warmth and strength that bound generations together. Her baking was legendary, with her chocolate pie becoming a treasured family favorite that everyone eagerly awaited at gatherings.
Margie leaves behind her daughter, Stacye; her grandson, Jonathon Higdon; her granddaughter, Kimberly Higdon; and four great-grandchildren who adored her: Nevaeh, Max, Brooklyn, and Axel. Her legacy of love, creativity, and family devotion will live on in all who were fortunate to know her.
Funeral services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home, located at 500 US-80 in Sunnyvale, Texas. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the service at 10:00 a.m.. After services, Margie's family will host a potluck gathering at her home, 308 Clear Springs Dr., Mesquite, TX 75150, where loved ones are invited to share memories, comfort, and a meal in her honor.
Her family will forever cherish her memory, her stories, and the many ways she filled their lives with comfort and joy.
