Margrette Ellen Tomlinson

Margrette Ellen Tomlinson was welcomed into Heaven on November 3, 2022. She was born in Dike, Texas on September 19, 1928, to Ellie Hugh and Alean Reeves. Margrette grew up in Sulphur Springs, where she graduated from high school in 1946 and married Warren Tomlinson, her husband of 41 years.

The couple made their home in East Dallas and raised five children. Margrette enjoyed a retail career at the iconic H.L. Green's in downtown Dallas, where she served as manager and second "mom" to many of the staff.

Margrette had a lifelong love of animals, including horses, dogs, and cats, and she opened her home to many strays throughout the years. She was always up for an adventure, but especially enjoyed spending time with friends and her large extended family.

Margrette faced every challenge with faith in God and showed kindness to everyone who was blessed to know her. Even in her final week, she took joy in handing out holiday treats to her fellow residents at Ridgeview Rehab in Cleburne, Texas.

Margrette leaves behind daughter Linda Siggers and sons and daughters-in-law Ronnie (Dorothy); Roger (Dawn); Robert (Ann) and Christy. She was a proud "MawMaw" to Jon, Matt, Larry, Randy, Leslie, Robbie, Randi Dawn, Billy, Caycee, Jason, Michelle, Michael, Stephen, and Shaun, along with their spouses, and she cherished her 23 great-grandchildren. Margrette was preceded in death by her husband Warren, son Randy, and son-in-law Dick Siggers.
