 Marilyn G. Henson

(November 8, 1945 - May 10, 2026)

On Mother's Day, May 10, 2026, Marilyn G. Henson returned home.

Marilyn was born November 8, 1945 in Wyomissing, Pa. and was the daughter of Evelyn Mary Stephan and Grant Amos Goeltz. She had a brother, Grant, who was also called home. She was a resident of Mesquite, Tx. and worked in the legal profession for nearly 50 years, and was the proud mother of Rachel M. Henson, also of Mesquite, Tx.

Marilyn had had several interests throughout her full and devout Christian life beginning with her time spent with the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She developed many wonderful skills in her time with the organization including communication, leadership, charity, patriotism, lifelong friendships, and her love for God and her family in Christ. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of a local league. She also loved playing golf in her spare time and was a left-handed golfer who putted right-handed. She  enjoyed watching football and basketball, which sometimes included naps.

Of all the things she so gracefully enjoyed during her time here, she mostly enjoyed time spent with family and friends, which she had so many of. Had Jesus not called her home, the love of her family and friends would have made her live forever. She will be dearly missed.
