Marion "Mac" McKnight

Marion “Mac” McKnight was born June 8, 1938 in Georgetown, KY.  In the early 1940’s his family moved to Dayton, Ohio. It was here would meet his wife, Dolores “Dee” McKnight (Blackburn). They were married in Dayton on November 15, 1958.  It was in Ohio he and Dee raised their three children, Tom, Tim, and Tamra.

In 1982 he moved his family to Texas and was a long-time resident of Mesquite, TX.  Mac spent his entire professional career in the printing industry. He retired in 2004 as the V.P. of Quality at Williamson Printing.

He is proceeded in death by his mother and father, Elizabeth (Graves) McKnight and Elmer McKnight; brother, Harold McKnight; sister, Joyce Hergenrather; and two grandchildren, Whitney and Taylor McKnight.

Marion loved his family. He leaves behind his lovely wife of sixty-three years Dolores; three children; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren (two more on the way!)

Mac was a long-time member of Lake Pointe Church at White Rock. He loved singing in the church choir and serving in Sunday School. 

Marion’s favorite Bible verses are found in Habakkuk 3:17-18,  

“Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.”
