Mark Steven Lené

December 16, 1948 — July 4, 2022

On Monday, July 4th, 2022, Mark Steven Lene' loving, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away at the age of 73.

Mark was born on December 16th, 1948 in Dallas Texas to William Jasper and Patricia Lene'. As a young boy he joined the Boy Scouts. During his time in the Boy Scouts, he rose to the rank of full fledge Eagle Scout. That love of helping others rolled over into his adulthood when he became part of the Southwest Dallas Chapter of CERT- Citizens Emergency Response Team.

He married the love of his life and best friend Vickie Featherston on September 9th, 1972. Together they raised their children Marcus and Michelle. Mark loved his family and spending time out on the family land in East Texas. His favorite times were when his children and grand children would come out and work hard and then play even harder.

Mark was known for his quick wit, his kind, humble, and compassionate spirit.

Mark is preceded in death by his father William Jasper and mother Patricia Lene'. He is survived by his wife Vickie of almost 50 years, his son Marcus Lene', daughter Michelle Lene' Griffin, son in law Brad Griffin, his grand children, Jeffrey, Bradley, Andrew, and Madison Lene' and great grand children Lilly and Charli Griffin. He is also survived by his brother William Warren Lene'.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7th from 6-8 pm at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held on July 8th at 10 am at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyvale.
