BLOCKER, Mavis Maurine of Garland, passed away January 2, 2009. Preceded in death by husband, George H. (Bill) Blocker; daughter, Sherrie Blocker Petty; brothers, Leon Gillaspie and Noel Gillaspie; sister, Joanne Gillaspie Lee; parents, Charlie and Bessie Gillaspie. Survived by son, George Ronnie Blocker & wife, Linda; grandchildren, Ed Petty & wife, Collette Petty, Amanda Petty Stewart & husband, Josh, Lana Hice Blocker; great grandchildren, Max Petty, Lindsay, Jonathan and Benjamin Petty, Luke Stewart; brother, Weldon Gillaspie; sisters, Bonnie Gillaspie Franklin, Charlene Gillaspie Wingate. Service will be 11:00AM Friday January 9, 2009 at New Hope Funeral Home.
