Meena Nair Sathyan

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Meena Nair Sathyan, who was born on January 14, 1951, in Kerala, India to Narayanan Nair and Devakiamma Nair. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, mother, and sister, Rajamma Nair.

Meena is survived by her devoted husband, Mani Sathyan; her loving children, Seena, Sindy, Seema, and Silas; her sons-in-law, Murali and Aaron; her daughter-in-law, Rakhi; and her cherished grandchildren, Rohin, Nadia, Vincent, and Arianna. She also leaves behind her sisters, Syamalakumari, Santhamma, and Aleyamma; her brothers, Soman and Gopalakrishnan; her brothers-in-law, Gopan and Raju; her sisters-in-law, Valsala and Bindhu; the nephews and niece she helped raise, Jacob, Vivek, and Vidhya; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones living abroad.

Meena dedicated more than 30 years of her life serving others as a registered nurse. A devout Catholic, she lived her faith daily through her compassion, generosity, and unwavering care for everyone she encountered. Her warmth and kindness touched countless lives, both through her profession and within her community.

Outside of her work, Meena found joy in gardening alongside her husband and sisters, and treasured every moment spent caring for and playing with her beloved grandchildren. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the comforting smell of something cooking in the kitchen. To know her was to be fed by her - she simply would not let anyone leave hungry. She welcomed the friends of her children, nieces, and nephews into her home as if they were family, making each person feel cared for, safe, and deeply loved. For so many, her home became a second home - a place where there was always food on the table, warmth in her presence, and the feeling that you belonged. The meals she served were more than food; they were one of the many ways she showed her love.

Words cannot fully express how greatly Meena will be missed. Her legacy of faith, love, and selfless devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
