Michael was preceded in death by his father, Roy L Cook and Mother, Dorothy F Ray Cook. Michael played on the back-to-back Garland Owls Texas State Champion football teams in 1964-1965. "Coach" also managed many North Garland Little League baseball and Garland Pee Wee Football teams, serving for many years on both league boards. He was a drummer in local rock bands, including the Continental Five. He could light up a room with his personality and sense of humor.
