Anthony "Tony" Jacquez
June 23, 1988 - October 2, 2026
Anthony "Tony" Jacquez, our beloved son, husband, father, nephew, godson, cousin, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on October 2, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, at the young age of 38. Born in Dallas on June 23, 1988, Tony had a gift for filling any room with warmth and laughter. He had a way of making people feel welcome and loved, leaving everyone who knew him a little happier for having known him.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Denisse Balderrama, with whom he shared a life filled with love, family, and countless memories.
Above all, Tony was a devoted dad. His children, AJ Jacquez (17), Victoria Alejandra Jacquez (12), Armani King Jacquez (4), and Jayden Cabrera (10), were his whole world. He never missed an opportunity to show them how proud he was of them or how deeply he loved them. Being their dad was the role he cherished most. His children held an irreplaceable place in his heart, and the love he poured into them will live on through each of them. Though his time with them was cut far too short, the memories they made together and the love they shared will remain with them always.
Tony is also survived by his loving mother, Connie Jacquez, who loved him with her whole heart. The bond between a mother and her son is something words can never fully capture, and Tony will forever remain a cherished part of hers.
If there was a party, Tony was the heart of it. His fun-loving spirit was contagious; he could turn an ordinary day into an adventure, and his generosity knew no limits. He made friends feel like family and family feel like the most important people in the world. Tony was never shy about showing people how much they meant to him. A big hug, a kiss on the cheek, or a reminder of how much you meant to him-that was simply who he was. He loved openly, gave generously, and made sure the people in his life knew they were loved.
And when it came to football, Tony's heart beat black and yellow. He and his Uncle Sapo, Jose Medrano, shared a deep love for the Pittsburgh Steelers and made special memories attending games together. Cheering on their beloved Steelers was about more than football; it was time spent together doing something they both loved and creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Tony is lovingly remembered by his Nino (godfather), Tony Jacquez, who was also his father Tito's twin brother. This special family connection made him not only Tony's godfather but also his uncle, adding another meaningful layer to their family bond. Tony will also be deeply missed by the many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends whose lives he touched.
Tony was an only child, without brothers or sisters of his own, but he found that special sibling bond in his cousins Rebecca Jacquez, Claudia Jacquez, Cynthia Jacquez, and Karly Medrano. They loved him like a brother, and he loved them like sisters. Their bond held a special place in all their hearts. Tony also shared a special bond with his cousin Frankie Luevano. Though they were cousins, they loved each other like brothers, sharing a connection that went far beyond family ties. These relationships were a beautiful reminder that family is not only about who you grow up with, but also about the love you share throughout your life.
Tony shared an extraordinary bond with his dad, Tito Jacquez, that went far beyond father and son. They were best friends, business partners, and constant companions, often talking ten or more times a day about work, family, life, or simply to check in. Tony worked alongside his dad in the fire protection industry from the day he graduated from Forney High School in 2006, learning the trade from him and eventually carrying on AJ Fire Protection, the business his father had built. Working alongside his dad was about more than a career; it was a part of their lives together, a shared purpose, and a bond Tony cherished deeply.
When Tito passed away in January of this year, it broke Tony's heart. He had lost not only his dad but also his best friend, his business partner, and the person he talked to, worked with, and relied on every single day. Those closest to Tony knew how deeply he carried that loss. The absence of his dad left a tremendous emptiness in his life, and we find comfort in believing that the love they shared was too strong to ever be separated by death. We truly believe Tony died of a broken heart, unable to bear the thought of being without his dad for long.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Tito Jacquez, and his grandparents, Mario and Adela Jacquez, Raquel Medrano, and Rogelio Luevano. We take comfort in the hope that they welcomed Tony with open arms and that he is once again surrounded by the love of family who went before him. Most of all, we find peace in believing that Tony and his dad are together again, reunited in the extraordinary bond that meant so much to them throughout their lives.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tony's life on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Highway 80, Sunnyvale, Texas 75182. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by a service led by Deacon Bob Catalano at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at New Hope Memorial Gardens, located on the same property.
Tony was taken from us far too soon, but his big heart, his generous spirit, and the joy he brought to every gathering will stay with us always. His hugs, his laughter, his love for his family, and the countless memories he created will live on in all of us who were blessed to know him.
We love you, Tony! You will be missed more than words can ever express, and you will never be forgotten.
