Millard Wayne Koons

Millard "Wayne" Koons, 90, passed away on February 14, 2022, in Forney, TX. Wayne was born on December 21, 1931 in Dallas, TX. Wayne graduated from N.R. Crozier Tech in 1950. He enlisted in the United States Navy on March 30, 1951 and served on the U.S.S Burton Island. Wayne was best known for his Woodcarving which was a great talent and his love for Airplanes and his love for his time spent in the Navy. After his service in the Navy, he worked for Braniff International Airlines as a mechanic on the landing gears of the Jets. Wayne is survived by Kathey Pederson - sister, of Forney, Jimmy Pederson - brother-in-law, Charlotte Walker - niece, Tyler Walker, - Great Nephew - Michelle Powell - niece, Maclaine Powell, - Great Niece, Jillian Powell, - Great Niece,- Alicia McCay - niece, Haly Powell Great Niece, Hana Powell, Great Niece - Cynthia Hall - niece and Husband Ron Hall, Nancy Koons - sister-in-law. Wayne is preceded in death by Betty Koons - spouse, Noble Koons - father, Winnie Cleo Koons - mother - Richard Wayne Koons - Son and Granddaughter Jenny Koons, Donald Ray Koons - Brother, and Lanny Paul Koons - Brother. The service for Wayne Koons will be held on Saturday, at 10:00 am at Mt Olivet Cemetery.
